Preparing for your massage appointment



There are a few things you can do prior to your session in order to maximize the greatest benefit.

• Make sure you are well hydrated. Drinking 8 glasses of water, decaffeinated or herbal teas, or juice per day keeps tissues hydrated and pliable.

• Get a good nights’ sleep. Try and get 7 – 8 hours of sleep per night.

• Shower the day of your massage. You’ll feel better about your session when you feel good about yourself.

• Arrive 10 – 15 minutes before your scheduled time. This allows you to transition from your busy life. You will have time to enjoy a cup of tea or water and the heated trigger point pillow in our lounge too.

• Plan your appointment & your schedule so you don’t have to “rush” to your next task. That’s one of the primary reasons for our relaxation lounge. Taking the time to be still; relaxed and unhurried, allows the bodywork you’ve just experienced to sink deep into your body, mind, & spirit.

• Keep any exercise for the remainder of your day on the light – to – moderate side. A refreshing walk or yoga are perfect post-massage activities.
